I am d
elighted to be part of the upcoming Art On A Postcard auction, raising money via The Auction Collective for the The Hepatitis C Trust. I've donated four postcard-sized pieces (15cm x 10cm) - heavily jewelled, gemmed, treasured and tiled pieces. They're called Lost Treasures I - IV. Don't hold back - it's all for a good cause.

My Lost Treasures series pieces are small punchy all-over textured bobbling glittery crusty bursts of colour, crackling with tactile fun. They look like tiles discovered at the bottom of the sea, covered in glittering coral and roe and frogspawn and pirates' riches. I have always loved fake, fictional or imaginary heirlooms/artefacts/archeology and findings, alternate histories, spoils and plunderings. I've always loved the idea of artworks as votive objects, talismans and symbols of protection. In these dark times I wanted to create a run of works that bring luck and oversight. I do hope you bid and purchase my pieces when the auction launches.

I made many more of my Lost Treasures pieces than the four I've contributed to the auction so I'll have extras - but before I sell those, I'd rather you bid and competed and won at the charity auction. As a guide price I'd steer you towards £250 and above for each one. Each piece is unique, from a very limited series and takes many many days to complete.

My pieces were curated by Bakul Patki and other curators selecting for the auction are Beth Greenacre, Carrie Scott, Mollie Barnes, Lee Sharrock, Lousie Fitzjohn and Sandra De Giorgi. Bidding in the auction starts very low at around £50, but it can go up up up up up, the higher the better. In The last Art On A Postcard auction I was invited to contribute to, late last year, the pieces - which were painted and layered, entitled Lacquer I - IV - started at £50 each but ultimately sold for an average of £110 each. These new new new glittering pieces are worth more!
